[PureInsight.org] An old Chinese medicine doctor once told me that during the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), a Chinese doctor came to Beijing who could cure any disease with only a single needle. I found it hard to believe, but I admired that old doctor so much that I believed him a little. A few years later, Qigong became very popular in China and many people with extraordinary skills emerged. I witnessed a Chinese folk medicine doctor curing any disease with only three needles, regardless of whether it was a stroke, chronic fatigue syndrome, or paralysis, and no matter how long…
Taiwan said on Sunday that China’s recent launch of a meteorological satellite has resulted in rocket wreckage crashing into its northern waters, where Beijing had previously imposed a three-day entry restriction on flights in the area. Beijing launched its long March-4B rocket carrying the Fengyun-3G weather satellite on Sunday. The rocket blasted off at 9.36 a.m. local time from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China’s Gansu province. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said the Chinese rocket was spotted flying over the island’s northern airspace after it launched. Taiwanese armed forces monitored the rocket launch through joint intelligence and surveillance and found…
[PureInsight.org] A Harvard University study demonstrated that an individual person’s happiness is actually an outcome of group actions and largely depends on whether a person’s friends are happy or not. The study also found that a person’s happiness will propagate to three degrees of separation like ripples on the surface of water. Moreover, the study found that the power of happiness is subject to time and space: the closer in proximity one is to the happy person, the higher the chance that he or she will be influenced by the other person’s happiness. By living next door to a happy…
[PureInsight.org] Talking about cancer makes people scared, as if a tiger is approaching. From ancient times until the present day, medicine has failed to find any method that can cure cancer completely. Modern medicine has found that cancer cells are different than normal cells. They are stronger and live longer inside a human body than regular cells. The way that Western medicine treats cancer is usually to kill the cancer cells directly. However, the medicine or therapy used cannot distinguish cancerous cells from normal ones. Therefore, during the course of the treatment, normal cells are permanently damaged as well. No…

[PureInsight.org] Modern Western medicine considers the human immune system to be a double-edged sword. With too weak of an immune system, one can be easily infected or get a malignant tumor. With too strong of an immune system, one may have an auto-immune disease, where the immune system attacks ones own body. This includes diseases such as myasthenia gravis, lupus and type I diabetes. A society is composed of individuals. If each one of us could cherish virtue, people would not fight with each other and society would be peaceful. Such a peace would not be achieved through administrative efforts…
[PureInsight.org] In Chinese medicine, it is believed that the human body has twelve Main Meridians, fifteen Main Collaterals, and eight Extra Channels, and that they are all interconnected with the organs. The meridians are connected together by collaterals, and it is believed that Qi circulates within the body constantly. As to when the Qi arrives at which acupuncture point and when to put pressure at that point, the ancient people have explained it in methods such as the “Midnight-Noon Ebb-Flow Acupoint Selection” and the “Method of Flight” and “Eight Methods of the Intelligent Turtle.” Among the eight Extra Channels are…
