[PureInsight.org] One day, I walked by a clinic. There were many patients waiting in line. One of them looked very anxious, pressing his left finger with his right hand. I went over to him and asked him what was the matter. He said he was a chef and had cut himself while chopping meat. The cut was deep and bleeding severely. The doctor did not have time to see him because he was assisting a patient who had been burned by boiling water. The remedy was actually simple. I told the chef, “Go to the bathroom and put urine on the cut. This will stop the bleeding.” Two days later, I met the chef again. He told me it had worked. I looked at his finger, and I saw that it had it totally healed and without even a scar!

    How can urine stop bleeding?

According to modern western medicine, the main component of urine is water. In addition, it has urea, uric acid, creatine, creatinine, amino acids, amine, hippuric acid, glucuronic acid, lactic acid, and β-hydroxybutyric acid. So according to what is known by Western medicine, it is hard to see how any of those components could stop bleeding.

Chinese medicine, however, utilizes the theory of yin and yang and the five elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. Each organ is either yin or yang and corresponds to one of the five elements of metal, wood, water, fire, or earth. Urine passes through several internal organs so it is also regulated by these characteristics. The mechanisms function automatically and have a delicately balanced relationship. For one who is knowledgeable about the theories of Chinese medicine, it is easy to see how the characteristics inherent in urine can be used to stop bleeding.
